It's fixed!!

Holy Hell! OK, so I get the new processor in today, install it....NOTHING! It would turn on but all I could hear was the fans running. That's when my stomach flopped and I cried. (just a little)

A friend of K's, brother is a computer guru and lives down the street from us. They take it over there and all it needed was the rubber gunk stuff that goes on the back of the processor to keep it from getting too hot.

It's ALIVE!!!!

Oh BTW

I went back to the doctor last Wednesday. So far I've lost....

7 whole pounds.....

WOoo Hooo!

It's not much but then again it is. You can totally tell a difference.

Hi!

It's been a hell of a summer and it's really just started.

Every year our summers are a little out of control. I'm not really complaining because it keeps us busy. I can't stand to sit in the house when it's so pretty outside (even though currently it is 100 degrees and that's not counting the index of 111).

Every since K bought the Jeep we have been down at daddy's working on it. Last Saturday he literally spent all day beating the side out where it's been hit. It looks damn good. We didn't get home until 11:30. We would have stayed the night but since we stayed Friday night, I knew I would have a pissed off cat to come home to by Sunday.

K also has a side job that he is working on here. He had to put a rear main seal (why does seal look funny to me?) in a Jimmy. Well.....the woman called before having it brought here and the transmission had gone out. So K took the trans out and took it somewhere to be rebuilt. He got it back last night. Well, looking at it, the motor is going to have to be pulled just to put the seal in. He is NOT a happy camper. It was a PITA to take the trans out and now the motor has to come out.

I went to Freds today to buy him a fan. It's just too f'n hot to be out there with out one..

We've also been over spending lately. (speaking of fan) Since we are constantly on the rd and driving to my dads which is 45 mins away it's costing us a pretty penny in gas. Which I might add is steadily going up. Thanks you money hungry fuckers. :D

So, this weekend we're going to have to go back to dad's to finish putting the truck together. le sigh

Oh and you know how my (our) luck runs? Well Sunday I decided to take my computer apart to clean it. The fans were constantly running. It wouldnt even go into sleep mode at night. So I take it apart, clean everything. K goes to Walgreens to get some canned air (which is not cheap and another thing we didnt need to buy) We go to put it back together, the fucker won't turn on. Fuck me! So the processor (CPU) was attached to the fans. It was suppose to stay in but it's glued to the fan housing. So glued I had to pry it off. Well when K put it back in he kinda forced it. (before we removed it from the housing) A couple of the prongs bent. That's all she wrote. Thank GAWD I found one on eBay for a little of nothing. Guy wanted $24.95 + $9.99 shipping. It was a best offer deal so I told him $15 + shipping. He agreed. So $24.95 total.....Woo Hoo!

It's just been a hell of a week and it's only Tuesday.

Shamelessly Stolen

I so stole this picture from Mandy. :)

The set up is like my laundry room. If it wasn't in the hall way I would take the doors off and set it up like this. But....I can still look into building the shelf above it and repainting the room. We already have built in shelves above it that need sprucing up.

Thanks for the idea Mandy! ♥

Picture

It's a iPhone pic so not the greatest but my camera is in the truck and I dont want to go get it. :P

On my comp screen, it's almost true to life. The colors. It really doesnt match but as long as it doesnt *clash* I guess I'm OK with it. With all the extra shit we have to do to this house before we sell I really dont want to repaint this damn room.

If any D&R girls see this, the color on the bedding is almost a silver mist (i think thats the color) Just a slight greenish tint depending on the light.

*sigh* Oh well, I love it and it's staying.

Now, curtains. :D

PS~Please don't look at my furry ass dog. He's getting a hair cut next week. I just bathed him so he's all fluffified. :D

It's more greenish than I expected. Our walls are just hard to match.

IDGI

I don't get it....

What happened to this new generation? It's amazing to me how lazy and immature they are. Did the parents just all together give up parenting?

I was reading updates on twitter from someone. They were saying how broke they are and they got $21 worth of change from their car, took it to coinstar and turned it in. They didnt like rolling change. Coinstar charges you. If you are really that broke, you will roll your own money and save the service fee. Their dry cleaning was $67.00. Buy the at home dry cleaning kit. Unless it's seriously stained, DIY. This is also the same person that was driving around to charge their cell phone because the wall charger broke. WTF?They just graduated college and they have nothing. No job prospects, nothing.

I just don't get it. How did it become so acceptable to be so lazy?

p.s. Speaking in LOLCats is not cute! No matter how old you are....LOLZ (lawz)is not a word...

Garage Sales

We decided to get up Saturday morning and hit the garage sales. We absolute hit the jackpot at some of them! K mainly, but I got something I have been dying to own. :D

Where we live is the best place for garage sales. Our main road is nothing but neighborhoods on one side. We never got further than 7 miles from our house. A few we just rode by. Yes, I know you aren't suppose to do that but when I ride by and see nothing but baby items and nic-nacs I just can't bring myself to stop and shop.

I wish I had taken pics of everything before my husband took off with it. lol He was in heaven finding all kinds of crap.

We got: a saw (IDK what kind) for $20, bread maker for $3, couple of tools for $1, a 3 way extension cord for $.50, one of these for $3.00, paint sprayer for $3.00. I think we did pretty damn good.

Problem is, my husband now has the garage sale bug. :P

I'm on the prowl again

We have to have new bedding for our bed. The down comforter is just too damn hot right now. Why it's bothering us now and not for the past summers I'll never know. But it is.

I've found these:
