Guess what I almost did yesterday?

hehehe I came this [ ] close to getting a tattoo yesterday. One of the hubby's friends was at a local tattoo place getting 2 new ones. He is offering to pay for mine. Problem was, I couldnt find one I liked! Rawr! They had so many to choose from but nothing jumped out at me.
Hubby did find one though. I do wonder if he didnt chicken out a little. I'm going to find it on the internet, print it out and see what the price is going to be. Since our anniversary is coming up that just might be his present. :D
Plus, the faster I get him one the faster I can get mine. He says since I already have one he is next. Well mine shouldnt count since I got it when I was 18! lol
I think that's just his way of making sure he gets one first.

There was a girl in the next chair getting one on her arm. Right above her wrist on the inner part ... That's where I want my stars. I also noticed that she had her husbands hand and kept gripping. Photobucket Hard. So I'm assuming it hurts like hell right there.

I'll update later with a pic of the one hubby wants.

UPDATE: This is one that I am seriously thinking about getting. The cherries represent what else but a lose of innocence. No not "my cherry" but the loss of basically everything I've known to be true. Most of my childhood was a lie. The 3 stars because it all happened when I turned 30. Again seriously thinking about getting it on the inside of my wrist. This one would be small so not that bad.

Just found this one that K likes. Only thing he would change is make the top a 6 speed instead of 4. I'm not sure I like that about it but it's his tattoo not mine. :)

ISO: New Hobby

We need a hobby. Something we can do together on the week nights. It's so boring here lately. It's 9 pm and I'm so ready to go to bed just because I'm bored.

Hubby isn't in to games really. I love board games, card games, playstation, wii etc games and he so doesnt love them. There's no middle ground. I'm at my wits end trying to figure something out.

Any one out there have any ideas? What do you do for fun on a week night?

Do you ever just feel...

invisible? Ignored?

I just feel like sometimes when I say something it goes completely ignored. Even if I'm echoing what someone else is saying. They get replied to, I dont.
It's like I don't even exist on the same planet as other people. Which then leads to all kinds of insecurities. Well, do they just not like me? Have I done something to piss them off?

I hate feeling like this. *sigh*

Things I love

Thought I'd list a few things I love. Kind of a get to know me post with pictures. ;)

Photobucket
My korean mink blanket. It is the best blanket in the world. It's like being wrapped up in a big ole teddy bears arms.

Photobucket
Cooking. I love trying new recipes. Every now and then I'll come across a recipe that taste like ass but it was still worth a shot. ;)

Photobucket
Oh sleep. I could sleep my life away and not care. It's wonderful.

Photobucket
Music. It's a huge part of my life. Whether I'm happy, sad, angry, depressed, whatever, music is there to get me going.
I remember being so pissed off, putting the Metallica black album in and just jamming out. I won't tell you how much this cd effects my driving though. The harder the music the faster I drive. I love it! But shhh dont tell anyone I'm a major speed demon K? ;)

Photobucket
Candy. Especially runts. I'm not a huge chocolate fan but I do get in my moods where thats all I want.

Photobucket
Oh Mario Kart, how I miss you so. I'm totally convinced this is the reason carpal tunnel is kicking my ass so hard right now. Playing every day, a few hours a day will take a toll on your hands. But I got my star. :D I know most of you dont understand what I mean but for those that do you should understand my obsession.

There's lots more but I figured I'd save those for another rainy day.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Picture Post

I'm home sick today. OK, not really sick. I ate Taco Bell at 10 pm last night and it totally kicked my 'ass'. :D

So I decided to do a picture post. A list of things that I am currently dying to get my hands on.
Ready? ;)

The iPhone. Every time I come up with the extra money to just go blow something comes up and I have to use it. broke You'd think someone was trying to tell me something but I refuse to believe it. I am meant to have it and you cant tell me otherwise.

Photobucket
Next up: Kitchenaid mixer. I realllly want one. I dont even bake that much anymore, but I think it's because I dont have one of these. :D At least that's what I keep telling myself.

I just can not justify paying so much for a gaming console but it's coming. Soon. hehe I'm the gamer of the family. I always want whatever is the best out there at the time. As a matter of fact I have all of my old systems in my guest closet because I just cant bear to get rid of them.
Now that Sony is finally bringing the 60gb back I'll probably get one next go around. They are suppose to be coming back out in "August" so we'll see. I doubt I get one the first go round. No let me rephrase that, I won't be getting one. I'll let them get all of the bugs out of them then I'll snatch one up. ;)

Rain, Rain, Go Away

I never thought I'd say this, but what the hell happened to my summer? Our August is usually so hot you can't walk in your house with out breaking a sweat. This one is a tad different. We've barely hit 90 degrees in 2 weeks. It's weird. Like end of the world weird for us Mississippians.

I miss my pool. I miss the sun. I actually had my first tan last summer. This summer I had a little going on but now I'm back to my pasty self. It's not pretty. ;)

But, one thing I can say, it's doing wonders for us mud riders. We went riding last weekend and there was actually mud. Not just dried up holes. We're going again this weekend and I'll try to get pictures. Suppose to be a group of us going. That always makes it more fun. :)

Rock Band owns me.

Seriously. I had a blast last night. We had friends over, cooked hamburgers on the grill, played rock band and watched a movie.

We found a cheat that allowed us to unlock all the songs. Well, seeing how Enter Sandman is one of our all time faves we just had to give it a shot. OMG I've never laughed so hard at my husband and Brian. They didnt have a shot in the dark of accomplishing this last night.
They switched equipment to see if the other could do better on the drums instead of the guitar. Nope. Both equally sucked! lol
Switch again, me on drums, Brian on guitar. We got up to 81% before we were booed off. LOL

We then watched Step Up 2

First, I want this girls body. For reals. She's a knock out. Secondly, I want to learn to dance like this. It's fucking HAWT! The last dance scene, whoamygawd! LOVEd it!
Of course the acting could stand to be upgraded a little but who cares how they act when you're focusing on the dance moved and the ripped abs all over the place. :D

We finally crashed at 1 this morning. Had a blast! Thanks J&B!

Fall...

As short as my summer seemed this year, I'm almost looking forward to fall. The sights, the smells, everything about it.

This summer has been extremely short and not even as hot as what we've normally dealt with. We've also been uber busy and it's absolutely flown by. Last year we rode 4 wheelers almost every other weekend. This year, maybe 4 times total. That sucks.

I was on Martha Stewart's website and came across this. I love it! And honestly it doesnt seem that difficult.

Witch and Cat Lawn Ornaments
This sinister sorceress and her trio of menacing felines are in a black humor -- all the better to give guests a start when they arrive at your home for the festivities. The figures are easy to make from hardware-store supplies, and they can be brought out year after year.

4-by-8-foot piece of 3/4-inch plywood for witch
4-by-4-foot piece for 3 cats
Repositionable spray
Adhesive
Jigsaw
Black latex paint and paint brush
Hammer and screwdriver
6-foot piece of heavy-wall conduit for witch
3-foot piece for each cat
Four 2-hole conduit straps and 8 wood screws for witch
Two 2-hole straps and 4 screws per cat broom, cup hook, and lantern

Printing Instructions for Templates
Once template is open on your computer screen, click the print icon or press Ctrl P on your keyboard. When the print screen appears, select "Print As Image" under the Properties button on the upper right. Click OK to print.

Witch and Cat Lawn Ornaments How-To
1. Download full-size (72 inches for Witch, 25-30 inches for Cats) templates, which you can print in sections and tape together. Or draw your own using those here as a guide.

2. Cut out and affix to plywood with repositionable spray adhesive.

3. With a jigsaw, cut out design; peel off template, and paint plywood black. Let dry for 30 minutes.

4. Hammer conduits into ground, sinking 12 inches for witch and 8 inches for cats.

5. Attach figures to conduits using 3 conduit straps and 6 screws for the witch and 2 conduit straps and 4 screws for each cat.

6. Fasten a broom to the witch's raised arm with remaining conduit strap and screws. Attach a cup hook to her other hand, and hang a lantern from it.

Eeek!

I just bought this!

It's white, has skulls and its a CHI! I'm so excited!

Bad weekend

Everything fell apart. It sucked. The End.

OK Sorta. ;) We watched movies on and off all weekend. 2 out of the 3 movies bombed. We watched Fool's Gold Friday night and it was so cute! I loved the movie. Definitely some LOL moments.
We then watched I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry. It was horrible. The disk started messing up on me so I just cut it off.
Next came Mr. Woodcock. O.M.G. Worst movie I've seen in a while. It was so freaking boring.

Saturday we were suppose to go 4 wheeler riding, well that didnt happen. Every one we know that we ride with didn't go. Well it's not fun by ourselves so we decided to go Sunday instead. Yeah, that didnt happen either.

So then, for Saturday night, we decided to have a rock band party. No one fucking showed up. Seriously we need better friends. Seriously.

Needless to say, I was in a pissy mood most of the weekend. I cheered up Sunday afternoon though. We took a trip to Sam's just to get out for a minute. That helped.

It's a new day. New week. Let's hope it's a lot better. I dont think I can handle another weekend like this past one.

Next weekend we are suppose to go to the mud rally at Timberlanes. They have huge competitions that we won't be participating in but we'll definitely be watching from the side lines.

Hopefully I'll have more to add this week. I know I've been slacking lately. Just not that much to update on.

Sunday morning storm clouds

This is what I woke up to Sunday morning. They were so strange looking. You knew they were rolling but could barely see it.

Sunday, August 3, 2008

My weekend movie review:

So we stayed in this weekend. It was not a pretty weekend. It stormed Friday night, hot Saturday and Saturday night it stormed its ass off. Lightening that makes you want to hide under the covers. Sunday, today, was nasty. I woke up to dark, scary rain clouds. You know, the clouds that produce tornadoes. Yeah, those. It's been nasty outside ever since.

So what better way to enjoy those days than laying on your couch watching movies? ;)

First up: Lost Boys: The Tribe

Eh. It wasn't bad but it wasn't great. Corey Feldman sucked. He had this raspy, I wanna be Rambo voice going on. It was not pretty. But over all it was...OK. I dont think they'll ever make another one to live up to the first.
p.s. I thought that Corey Haim was in this one too. I never saw him. That makes me sad. I loved him.
I give it a 3 out of 5

Next up: The Eye

It was good. Some parts would scare the crap out of you. It wasnt your typical, predictable movie. I dont want to say too much about it though.
I give it a 4 out of 5

Late last night was: Meet Bill

So CuTe!! Loved it! Of course I love me some Jessica Alba. I dont care who says shes a bitch. And the 'boy' that was in it, I love him! Just the right amount of cockiness.
Totally give it 5 out of 5
